3-Ingredient Serves

Great cocktails don’t have to feature a laundry list of components. They can be hard to execute – both in remembering the spec and the amount of time it takes to reach for each bottle – not to mention difficult for punters to imagine the resulting flavour profile

3-Ingredient Serves

The 3-ingredient serve is the answer here. We’ve pulled a few easy to execute serves together in one place, for your consideration, including a few classics, a couple of twists on the recipes we know, not to mention some lesser-known gems

French Martini

Frothy, sweet and easy to knock together, this one is a crowd pleaser

Moscow Mule

No shaker required here, just build it straight into the glass. If you have copper mugs for this, even better – a simple to execute drink served in a memorable way

Negroni Sbagliato

Pronounced “SPAL-YATCH-OH”, and apparently created by accident, the Negroni is brightened up a bit with a splash of fizz

Tommy’s Margarita

Agave syrup balances lime in this twist that gives the original a run for its money

Americano

This near-Negroni long sparkler is easy to make and

Brandy Milk Punch

Very much a ‘favourite old sweater’ vibe to this drink, vanilla, milk and cognac combine to make you go “mmmmm”

Elderflower Spritz

The spritz movement shows little sign of slowing, so why make the serve complicated? Lovers of

Red Rum Spritz

Another spritz serve, this time more focussed on berry sweetness, while still being remarkably easy to make

Sea Breeze

Tart, fresh and simple to make without needing a shaker

Canadian Apple

Cloudy apple and maple syrup pair effortlessly in an alcohol free 3-ingredient treat

Sherry Highball

A quick-serve highball that proves that easy doesn’t have to mean simple

Snowball

A festive one for those Christmas menus. We refuse to apologise for including it. Re-appraise it, you cowards!

Flirtini

Ahhh the naughties. A simpler time. Juicy and fizzy, the Flirtini is hard not to like

Paradise

Essentially a gin and juice, this is a very likeable drink that looks great

Rhu Woo

As implied by the name, a fresh, rhubarby twist on a disco drink classic

Making Hay While the Sun Shines

Summer is here, and if you are lucky enough to have an outdoor drinking area then it can be hard to keep up with the demand that an unexpected day of sunshine can bring. Balancing your labour costs, the degree of prep required, the amount of stock to order and the opportunity for sales that can disappear with a single grey cloud can feel like a near impossible task

Rum with a Twist

Rum has been a maritime staple for many a moon, with daily naval rum rations starting in 1731 and only really drawing to an official close on Black Tot Day, July 31st, 1970. Of course, sailors weren’t exactly sipping on Diplomatico on the rocks back in the day; quality was known to be pretty sketchy at the best of times, necessitating mixing into grog and precursors to what we now know as flavoured rum

These days rums aren’t flavoured or spiced as a need to disguise dire distillates, in fact consumers cannot seem to get enough of the category, with flavoured and spiced growing to half of all off-trade rum sales and moving in the same direction in the on-trade
